ABOUT MOONBEAM AND FRIENDS

Moonbeam and Friends is written and drawn by Marea Checheris. She's been doing this strip since 1994, but it wasn't until 2006 that she began putting it out there for the world to see. Moonbeam is based loosly on Marea, while the rest of the characters are based on people in her life. Most notably, the character A.J. is based on her cousin Anders. Without him, this strip would probably have never come into existence. While the strip has yet to be nationally syndicated, it is gaining popularity on the web. It can be found on Comics Sherpa, which is a website for up and coming comics. The book "In the Beginning... The Birth of Moonbeam" was published in the spring of 2007.
